EuroMillions is a transnational lottery, launched on 7 February 2004 and the jackpot is never less than €15 million and it is often much more.

The first draw was held on Friday 13 February 2004, in Paris. Initially, only the UK, France, and Spain participated, but currently the game is available to players in Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The gameplay changed on Tuesday 10 May 2011 with a second weekly draw and the number of "lucky stars" in the Pacquerette machine increasing from 9 to 11. Draws are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 20:45 CET (19:45 GMT/WET) in Paris.A prize for matching two main numbers and no lucky stars was also introduced on the same date.
